BOOK HERE AN ADVENTURE IN FINLAND (SUMMER 2026)

This is a story of determination, embracing uncertainty and of the power of a team built in extreme conditions. Our mission also includes taking over 2,000 children and young people out to sea.

Meet the team!

SAIL

The word 'FOR' with the letter 'O' replaced by a blue ocean globe and three small orange sailboats on top of it.

Adventure is in our DNA. Sailing offers a meaningful and sustainable way to explore and understand our ocean-covered planet.

As scouts, we believe in the power of dreams. With courage and community, almost anyone can accomplish the extraordinary – even in today’s world.

GOOD

We’re committed to doing good. Our mission is to offer real sea adventures to young people at risk of social exclusion – at no cost to them.

The Ocean Globe Race (OGR) celebrates the legacy of the 1973 Whitbread Round the World Race.

The race is sailed using 1980s-era technology (e.g. sextant navigation, no GPS).

20 crews are participating and at least three of them are flying the Finnish flag. OGR is eight-month global adventure departing from Europe in September 2027 and returning back in spring 2028.

Stopover ports in Cape Town (South Africa), Auckland (New Zealand) and Punta del Este (Uruguay).

We need a LOT of equipment to compete safely in rough ocean conditions. You can donate important equipment to us through our store. Your donation will help us purchase the products we need.

Send us an email if you already have equipment that we might need for the Ocean Globe Race!

Stay tuned! More products (clothes, accessories etc.) to be released.

ENgaging youth

We also engage all Finnish scout vessels and yacht clubs to organize events for children and young people.

Team Panacea Sailing will organize events for young people in the stopover ports of The Ocean Globe Race.

Every child deserves access to experiences that inspire. Hobbies are a really meaningful part of life.

Our mission is to get 2,000 youth sailed at sea by end of 2028.

Next summer you might have an opportunity to sail with us in the Baltic Sea.

It takes 12 people to get the boat moving – but not to sail that around the world. Would you like to be part of our story and support
our project?

We warmly welcome companies, organizations and individuals to join us!

Throw us a message info@panaceasailing.fi and let’s discuss more!
